
Group fitness is an excellent way to lose weight and meet new people. USF Recreation & Wellness offers free group exercise classes on campus. Participants can choose from a wide variety of classes, from Total Body Strength to Yoga. The instructors are nationally certified and provide a challenging but rewarding workout. No matter what level you are, there is a class suitable for you.

While the gym is open to the public, Group Fitness classes will be virtual via Microsoft Teams. This page will contain the schedule as well as other important information. You do not need to book a reservation for Group Fitness classes. Online registration is possible or you can use a kiosk in our lobby. Participants who sign up for more than one class may register as "Standbys" up until five minutes before classes begin. If they have falsely claimed their information, anyone who doesn't sign up will get their membership back.
Campus Recreation offers various classes. Some classes can be found in the Campus Recreation Center, or at the WELL Fitness Center. Some are streamed via Microsoft Teams so that participants do not have to travel to other locations to participate in the class. All students can attend in-person classes, but they are limited in number. If the group needs to meet in the WELL fitness center or somewhere private, they may opt for a separate location.

Group Fitness also offers Group Cycle, a unique feature. This indoor cycling class is a challenge for riders to improve their cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Its MyWellness application makes it easy to track your cardio workouts. Cycle Concert Series gives patrons the opportunity to see their favorite artists live. Each week, a new artist will be featured. These programs are accessible to everyone and offer a great way to get your workout in while not causing too much inconvenience for others.
